Delhi/NCR gives us a lot of reasons to be happy by offering us a great many options to keep ourselves entertained. We have got a thousand amusement parks, malls, historical buildings, natural sites, et al, to go visit and have a nice time with friends and family over the lazy weekend.

But then again, there are champions in every department. Just as there can only be one Qutab Minar in Delhi, there can also only be one Kingdom of Dreams for 360 degree entertainment. It is touted to be India’s first live entertainment, theatre and leisure destination.

Kingdom of Dreams is the definitive leisure outlet for entire families, which is spread across a huge tract of land with no compromises on quality infrastructure in Sec 29, Gurgaon, which is ideally the heart of the city. India, as a country is a great spectacle and Kingdom of Dreams makes sure that all of the country’s tasteful flavours are brought to you under one massive roof in order to cater to the interest of everyone in the family. The blend of culture, art, heritage, craft, performing arts & various cuisines is exceptional at this place.

The huge Kingdom is divided into sub-sections, to prevent you from getting lost amidst the massive structure. The entire place is well-lit with proper directions and generally full of life & performances. The four sub-sections are the most integral in the functioning of Kingdom of Dreams, let us discuss them briefly.

Nautanki Mahal – Since theatre holds a very special place in our traditional art, Notankii Mahal gives a gigantic tribute to the same, for it’s an 835-seat auditorium designed like a grand palace to make everyone believe that they’re in for something really special. It showcases some exclusive plays created just for KoD, namely, ‘Zangoora – The Gypsy Prince,’ ‘Jhumroo’ amongst others. Masses can also enjoy snacks at the Maharaja Lounge right inside the Nautanki Mahal.

Culture Gully – Spread across 100,000 square feet, this commodious boulevard is the go to place for food, arts & culture in Kingdom of Dreams. There is just about something for everyone here. Amongst the 14 restaurants & live kitchens present in this Gully, every place represents the different taste & quintessential taste of separate states from across India. Just as Lucknow’s dining hall is a breathtaking location made with cut-mirrors, the Goa-themed restaurant has sand under our feet to give us an authentic feel. One can also have the choicest liquor if need be, it is served at ‘The Mekhana Bar’ & ‘The Kerala Bar.’ This place also deserves your visit because it has performers entertaining people with fire-eating, gymnastics, dance, et al, all day long.

Showshaa Theatre – This is a separate, a lot smaller, amphitheatre that mostly hosts mythological themed plays. It can seat around 350 people at any given time.

IIFA Buzz Lounge – Inaugurated by Salman Khan in 2010, the IIFA Buzz Lounge is a chic Bollywood themed restaurant-cum-bar which showcases various Bollywood memorabilia, posters, costumes, as well as IIFA Award trophies from yester years. Think our very own HRC, but a lot better.

There is so much to do at the Kingdom of Dreams that it will be extremely difficult for you to take it in in a just one visit. Hence, they have an exclusive Royal Card Programme via which you can join the membership and enjoy various offers & discounts from time to time. You can check out the details on their website.
