Delhi loves its alcohol and how so! Car-o-bars are eternal favourites as are house parties. But if you’d like to break the monotony without killing your bank balance, we suggest these budget watering holes.
1. The Project
Sip on Celery and Orange Margaritas while your eyes try to spot deer in the lush Deer Park. The Project scores high on their location that is accessible yet away from the maddening crowd. The ambiance and the menu make this place a good choice for your usual hang out sessions. But what sets it apart from most others is their expertise in cocktails. Being one of the most budget friendly places (with such spectacular views!), we’re certain The Project can become your adda very easily. Beer Pitchers start at Rs 699.

2. My Bar Square
My Bar in Paharganj has been a haven for college kids on shoe-string budgets for years now. Their newer property- My Bar Square has popped up across the city. It is unpretentious and lives up to what it is known for best – cheap alcohol. We recommend sticking to the classics – you cannot go wrong with a rum and coke! Their cocktails are average, nothing to write home about. We wouldn’t say much about their music as well. It is regular neighbourhood bar best suited for sessions with friends, when you don’t care enough about anything else.

The combination of mouth-watering sizzlers and drinks at such nominal prices is what draws most of the crowd here. The ambiance is quaint with old school Bollywood instrumentals doing the usual work to lighten the mood. For a chilled out yet budget friendly sojourn, Gola is the place. Beer pints start at Rs 110 and Daiquiris are recommended.

They have their usual “1+1” on offer but sometimes one may strike a “1+2” offer or a crazy “1+3” offer, while the happy hours keep on going for 12 hours of the day. The ambiance is not much to talk about but cheap booze more than suffices for it.
